¡FIRST LEGO LEAGUE!

[EN] We say good bye to another FLL challenge, the 4th one for us and probably one of the most special. This year we had a bug change on the team, eight left, one stayed as a part of the team and the other one became a coach. The new team and the old one knew each other and we obviously kept something in common between all of us, that fighting spirit that makes us stronger to face all the bumps that stand in our way and that spirit that allows us to improve ourselves every day. |
After months of really hard work, things happened as asked for, as they say, the third time is the good one and that became true when at the end of May we celebrated our third Open European Championship, an unforgettable OEC where Mechatronic Ants got the first prize in three categories: the robot game demo, the robot performance and the most important one, the 1st Champion’s Award. These awards recognize all the hours of hard work. It's better not to count them, but at least 10h weekly.
Who was going to tell us the first day that we would get that high. It has been a year full of challenges. Despite that presentations where a success, we never got the wished points in the robot. But those problems disappeared when in the third and last round of the competition, the team scored the world record! 600 points! The joy was immense and the party concluded with the prize to the winner.
There have been a lot of hours of hard work and effort, but mostly, hours of illusion, of happiness where we all got closer and closer together until achieve what we are now, a group of friends bond forever. In the other hand, we will never forget all the experiences lived during this time. We've discovered what team work means, and that everything we learn gets more important when we share it with people around the world, the only regret is that this experience got to an end.
We countdown the days until we can hear the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE! cheer again.
